Dawn Tomlin was born in Sidcup and grew up in south-east London. She now lives in the coastal town of Lowestoft in the English county of Suffolk.
Her innovative artworks can be conceptual, abstract or pictorial.
Dawns conceptual work often challenges and tells a story, encouraging the viewer to examine themes that are often taboo, such as sex, abuse and mental health.
Much of her work shows how Dawn responds to the environment around her and the people that reside within it. She uses everyday experience and her multiple inner beliefs and interests as a starting point.
